Hello I am running Manjaro and cannot get the game to start properly. It starts at a massive resolution rendering the game unplayable. This seems to be unique to Chapter 5.

The pastebin contains the log file.

Thank you for your help.
I'm having the same issue on Arch. For me, 1 through 4 work fine, 5 through 8 have the issue. The 07th-mod guys seem to have fixed it (github dot com/07th-mod/higurashi-assembly/pull/93) but idk how to relay this to the developers of the Steam/GOG version.

I use KDE Plasma and it doesn't work there. I also tested on Xfce (xfwm4) and Openbox. It crashed on Openbox but worked just fine on Xfce. Whether it works or not seems to depend on the window manager/Wayland compositor. This lines up with reports I've read on the Steam support forums.

Easy workaround is to launch Sway inside your desktop (or some other nestable Wayland compositor that works). It'll start in a window, from which you can launch the games. I've found that using the labwc compositor is the most convenient workaround. Just cd to the folder of the game that isn't working (in ~/GOG Games/) and type labwc -s ./start.sh
