Answer is simple. Just use dgVoodoo 2, it works like a charm!

I am sorry I am not following, what is FHD? I have also heard that dgVoodoo 2 works for Codename: Outbreak as well but my issue with that game is broken cutscene's and rainbow textured models.

By FHD I meant Full HD i.e. 1920x1080 because max default resolution in H&D is 1280x960.
And I'm sorry but I can't help you with your problem because I don't own Codename Outbreak.

Neat trick. Thanks for the heads up.
For anyone confused about the installation of dgVoodoo2, you have to put the DirectX .dll files into the folder with the executable of the game. They are in the 'MS' folder. Run the configuration for dgVoodoo2 to change e.g. resolution. It should be called 'dgVoodooCpl.exe'. Apply / OK to save the changes.
