When trying to launch the game it crashes to desktop when it tries to load the main menu. If I set the compatibility mode to win 98 the game reaches the main menu and a game can be started but the colours are not rendered correctly and the game is unplayable. I have tried changing all the settings and nothing gets the game running correctly. If I set the resolution to a low res (e.g. 800x600) the game can reach the menu but with a giant cursor and as soon as you move the cursor the game crashes to desktop.

I've seen that other people have had issues running the game on Windows 11 but no one had a fix. Does anyone have any ideas on how this can be fixed?

Just tried to get into it again for the first time since getting the game, suddenly the opening works, but I too, crash before the menu loads. Not sure what's going on. It was fine before. Should add I'm a Win 10 user.

Same as the above two users. Tried various compatibility modes and running as an administrator. Game crashes right after the FMV's. Using Windows 11 Pro v 22H2.

Apparently this issue has occurred multiple times in the past. I never had it during my initial install when I first bought the GOG version but I am having it now on a fresh install. Another community user found out it was a 'divide by zero' error and tweaked a few bytes in the .exe to remedy the issue. Standard disclaimer about downloading an unofficial .exe, of course, but after vetting it myself the game appears to run just fine. The thread alludes to having to nix explorer.exe to fix color issues but I haven't had to do that, nor have I had to use compatibility mode anymore.
