Any way to increase the movement speed, like in the old Sierra games? The walk speed feels super slow. Even the run speed just feels like it's about the same pace as walking but with a faster animation.

Edit: Aaaaand right after I post this I found the answer in the Steam forums. The issue is if your monitor has a refresh rate higher than 60hz. I changed it back down to 60 and now the movement is way faster and doesn't feel like I'm wading through molasses in a bad dream.

Glad to hear the 60 Hz solution worked for you. We're working on a more permanent in-game fix.

We are also speeding up Walk and Sneak by 10%. Run will stay the same (and is faster than walking). We can't speed any of them up more than that without redoing the animation, not practical at this stage.

Why does speeding up the movement require new animations? Are you just worried about it looking silly?
I wish there was a 2x game speed mode that could speed up everything, monsters included. With the QFG games I always cranked up the game speed and got around so fast. Even then I spent a thousand hours into them.
I've read about trainers that can do that, but was hoping it would be done natively.

Changing movement speed requires matching the animation "cycling" to the speed. We can increase it by a little without it looking terrible, but a major increase without a corresponding animation change will make Shawn appear to slide, jump, or otherwise totally break the mood. We've sped it up (at my request) more than once already.

I also don't think it will improve the game. I run everywhere in World of Warcraft, and it sill takes a long time just to cross one section of Stormwind or Orgrimmar. Walking is reserved for role-playing. Our walk is much faster than theirs, and our run comparable. The entire feel of the castle as a big place will be lost if we make walking and sneaking too fast.
