When you meet the Drat Queen, you can fight her, you can give her the amulet, or you can lie about having the amulet and tell her you'll come back with it later. If you choose the third option, does that open up other possibilities (like telling someone else and coming back with reinforcements)? Or does it just put off choosing one of the first two options?

I believe it just means you need to come back later. Unlike some of the other (potentially difficult) tasks, I don't think you can get someone to help with this, or get someone to do it for you.

I haven't actually tried to see what happens if you don't solve this one and just wait out the time - I suspect that something bad will happen since I don't think anyone else can step up to solve it for you this time.
