Hello. The game won't install. Its stuck at "Initializing...", the very first step of installing. Im using a Windows 7.

Are you trying to install it with the offline installer or through Galaxy?

And no, the Heroes games are only avaliable on Windows and MS-DOS.

Although the games were never made for Mac, they may be playable there in some cases. Heroes 2 and Heroes 3 run well under Wine on Linux, so they may work under Wine on Mac as well. However, you will need a Mac that supports 32-bit programs. Recent Mac OS versions lost this ability.

I'm trying to install the complete edition of Heroes 3.

However, it did not work for me, as the drive_c location was not created during the unpacking of the vcmi software.

I recommend trying to install it with Galaxy. It works very differently than offline installers. Also make sure you have enough room for the game on your harddisk.

On Linux, Wine can both install and play Heroes 3 Complete. I don't recall any performance or stability issues with it. Presumably, a 32-bit capable Mac OS should be able to do this as well.
