It worked, it worked, and today it doesn't, it turned on for some time, but in the small screen version, I reinstalled it and now nothing even turns on - has anyone had a problem with this or knows how to deal with it?y

Hi everyone, is there any players experience the same launching issue as me. I couldn't launch my HoMM game since yesterday. That was so strange because the game still ran perfectly fine before.

GoG Galaxy, or native installation from download?

I have this same problem. I played HoMM2:Gold in the past week. Game worked great, played 4 hours in total.

Today, it suddenly doesn't work. When clicking play from GOG galaxy or from the launcher in its folder, DOSbox opens for a few seconds then crashes. I CAN play it by starting DOSbox and mounting the directory from there, but I don't know enough to understand how to enable the configurations it had, or access the save files I was using.

I tried verify/repair and it downloaded something 97MB. In fact, it downloaded the same thing every time I used it, so I don't think it was working correctly. (The game doesn't work after this).

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Game still doesn't work.

UPDATE:

Game didn't work when I only restarted. However, game finally works when I uninstalled, THEN restarted, THEN reinstalled. Hope this helps anyone else!
