The 3rd version of HoMM is my favorite of the series, although HoMM2 is very close. Whereas #2 exudes the most "charm", with it's fairy-tale look, this one is the most refined. Too bad about H4, truly a disappointment. TBS games seem a lost art today, with way too many shooters regurgitated over and over. Oh, another Call of Duty! Yippee!
Old-school games like the HoMM series, point-and-click Adventure games, and classic RPGs are what drew me to GOG, and I'm here to stay.
