It does appear to be possible to get the GOG version of HoMM2 installed on a Mac, and instructions for doing so can be found here. It seems that you will need a Windows installation to initially install the game, after which you can copy the relevant files over to Mac and run them through DOSBox.

How about that wineskin everyone is talking about. All I know is I have the newest Mac, I updated from a windows to do so...and I just couldn't believe that I would not be able to play these wonderful games. I will try to follow those directions, but I really don't know where to start though :/ appreciate taking time out of your day though.

You might read through this thread, which deals with various methods to get GOG games to work on a Mac. There's a lot of technical information, so you'll probably need to spent a bit of time reading through the options and figuring out which one works best for you.
