Eyo folks! So I got Tribes of the East and I'm facing the following issue:
I start the game and I already did the following things:
- Installed Direct X 9
- Combailitymode (WinXP Service Pack 3, deactivated Fullscreen Optimisation, run as admin)
- Changed the resolution in the defaultuser file to my computers resolution
- Made my own directory in case Windows decides to hold the game on a leash

The game starts at first and I get the Introcutscene. After skipping that however the game just terminates itself and I cant for the life of me figure out what the issue is.
I have a laptop and I updated all my drivers over their respective sites (Windows own drivers suck we all know) and I even went lengths to lift basically all restrictions Windows 10 could possibly put on the game.

I'm pretty much at the end of where forums and supportsites take me. I installed Visual C++ and everything to try if thats the issue.
At this point I really think its lying within the hardware, but games like Empire Earth or X2. The Thread, which are pretty old run just fine.

Does anyone here have ANY suggestions what else I could do? At this point I am ready to try a sacrificial ritual just to see if it does something (I'm joking) because this is getting annoying.

I mean when it comes to my laptops specs it should run it just fine...but maybe someone with a similar build experienced similar issues and got it fixed? I'm at my wits end tbh...
I take anything as advice really...
