I can`t have normal image on my 1440p monitor. It is streched and annoying. How come this game doesn`t support this? Tribes of the East is ok with that. I know there is 5.5 mod which resolves that problem but it modifies the game too much which doesn`t suit me. Is there a fix for this guys?

TotE v3.1 was the only version of the game without stretching the UI in widescreen.

The original was released in 2006, when widescreen was only starting to get any serious use, and many games from that time stretched the UI in non-4:3 resolutions as well.

Nothing you can do to change it unless you're keen on digging into some reverse engineering tools.
Try 16:10 . Probably it be look less stretched. And tiny black borders: cause it not 16:9 but still it widescreen proportions. Or set 16:9 and play as is.
UPD: Nope. 16:10 is strethed, probably even more. Just experiment.

In your GPU settings make sure Maintain Aspect Ratio is enabled. You'll get black bars without stretching.

By the way, Tribes of the East "fixes" it by reducing vertical POV. You're better off playing it with black bars too.

In the beginning I managed to change the resolution with black bars (in-game). But then something happened (I guess some update?) and now I can't get it to a normal aspect ratio. There's gotta be a way to make it normal. Unofrtuantely I don't see aspect ratio options in my graphics card (NVidia) control panel.

Help!
Change resolution on Desktop to some lower and differ aspect.
If you have Intel+Nvidia it can be set from Intel (Notebook's and else mobile devices).

Should be appear Keep Aspect ratio option.

For game itself... It support wide resolution as i remeber, but with some incorrect scale\FOV. For some aspect (16:9, it probably support 16:10 but this didnt help if you have 16:9 display) No updates for long time even for GOG builds (just gog files).

Also, Tribes of the East - is compeltely separate game, separate installment. Just same engine, but differ game. Or a little bit differ engine. And it have more proper widescreen support for more aspect ratio's.
