Hello, I can't seem to take screenshots in this game. I press PrntScreen but nothing happens, I checked the readme to confirm it is indeed PrntScreen that is the default key and yet nothing happens when I try it. I can take screenshots in every other game just fine so the key itself isn't the problem.

I've searched everywhere but can't find any answers for this.

When you say "nothing happens", do you mean no file is saved?
HoMM5 is relatively old, pressing PrntScreen doesn't save a file, but copies it to clipboard. You have to open an image editing software, like paint, and click paste (or Ctrl+V), then save the file.

The other option is to use a screenshot taking software that will automatically save files. You can google for lots of free options.

Exacly, no file is saved. Wow, are you telling me this is the only way to take screenshots in this game? I know the procedure from the good old days but can't imagine any game created past 2000 wouldn't have a screenshot function? Furthermore take a look at this thread I found while googling:

Read the third post. He clearly states it should be possible to take screenshots with PrntScreen...

I don't know to be honest. I haven't played the game yet (just doing 4), so was guessing.

The post you linked to does suggest I could be wrong.

Is it possible the screenshots are saved somewhere else? Not in the game folder but in your user documents folder?

No, I've done thorough searches for screenshots and found nothing related to HoMM V - not to mention nothing seems to happen when you press the key ingame, there's no response from the game, no slight stutter as the file is saved etc.
