Hi! I was curious if there are any mods out there that I don't know about.

I know of these ones below. If you know of any others, reply and let the community know about them.

Source ports
fheroes2 (http://sourceforge.net/projects/fheroes2/): Open source port of HoMM2 to other platforms. It is currently incomplete.
VCMI (http://forum.vcmi.eu/portal.php): Open source port of HoMM3 to other platforms. It is currently incomplete.

Mods
HoMM1: Equinox (http://5elo.20m.com/other/strategy/Equinox.htm): This is a simple mod for HoMM1 that balances out some of alleged inequities between the castle types.
HoMM3: In the Wake of the Gods (http://wog.celestialheavens.com/)</span>http://wog.celestialheavens.com/): Most HoMM players know of this one by know. Many love it. Others feel it's a little too bloated. Still, it's impressive what they've been able to do with HoMM3.
HoMM3: Horn of the Abyss (http://www.celestialheavens.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8742): Another HoMM3 mod completely separate from, yet compatible with WoG. It seeks to maintain the same balance and professional feel that the official HoMM3 expansions had.
HoMM4: Equilibris (http://equilibris.celestialheavens.com/eng/news.html]): A combination mod/fixpack for HoMM4, the mod's goals are to fix HoMM4's many bugs and also to add new campaigns and content. The mod is no longer being worked on, as the last version was from 2004.
HoMM5: Ghost of the Past (http://gotp.celestialheavens.com/): Mod for HoMM5 that seeks to add new creatures, heroes, and campaigns. Apparently inactive since 2007 and there doesn't seem to be a download link.
HoMM5: Legends of the Ancients (http://lota.celestialheavens.com/): Mod for HoMM5 that adds new heroes and campaigns, which are separated into "books." The cool thing about this one is that it is based on the original universe rather than Ubisoft's Asha world. There's nothing on the site to indicate when it was last updated, though.

EDIT: Links fixed. My original post figured out how to break GoG's forum. :^) This forum needs a "Preview post" button real bad.

Wow, thank you. This should be sticked or something. I knew about HoMM3 and HoMM4 Mods and the HoMM2 source port, but never heard about HoMM1 and HoMM5 mods or HoMM3 source port.
You have forgotten the only existing large mod for HoMM2: Project Ironfist.

Also, Heroes of Might and Magic III: The Succession Wars Mod also deserves some attention I think.
This was posted in 2011 and I think both projects started after that. Anyway, thank you too for expanding the list.
Ah yes, I didn't see the date of the master post.

Anyway, some mods died, some mods were born, but still the named above remain a must-have to check.
I found there's also this one: https://sites.google.com/site/heroes3hd/
