Passing through Google looking for some HOMM5 mods I read somewhere that there was a mod or patch or something like that that could restore caravans to HOMM5 1.6 (I couldn't find it). Anybody else know anything about that and where we might get that mod or patch if it exists?

Not sure about mods, but vanilla HOMM5 didn't have caravans - they came with the first expansion (the dwarf one). So if you have the first expansion, you should have caravans.

I may have found something. I'm not sure yet, though, because I am playing one of the maps and haven't been able to get far enough to need a caravan (Defiance). If it works, I'll let you know.

I found something that works--at least in a round about way. It's called the HOMM5 Content Pack and you basically play the HOMM5 maps through Tribes of the East. I'm new to HOMM5 so I'm not sure if that's how it worked before but, well, anyway, this content pack enabled me to play HOMM5 with caravans.

Be careful, though. I got a mallware warning when I went to that site. I downloaded the files anyway and scanned them and my computer before and after I installed the files and haven't had any problems so far.

P.S. In order to unpack/decompress the 7z files I had to rename the extensions. Basically, there are 2 "." in each file name and you need to delete the first one. That worked for me, anyway.
