HoMM5 refuses to work for me. It crashes right after the opening cinematic with the usual Win10 error box. Tried all the other compatibility options to no avail. Anyone else seeing this? Any fixes?
System: Win10, Radeon RX480, AMD x4 640, 8gb RAM

Just to rule it out, manually install DirectX 9.0c.

* Download DirectX 9.0c redistributable from June 2010 from Microsoft’s official website.
* Run directx_Jun2010_redist.exe.
* Follow the instructions on the screen. This setup will extract the necessary files to the folder of your choosing.
* Once the setup closes, open the folder to which you extracted the files.
* Run DXSETUP.exe as administrator and follow the instructions on the screen.
* Restart your computer.

I also have an issue with HoMM V at the moment. At the end of The Trap (Haven Campaign), when I click to finish the mission any given time after the cutscene played, the game crashes to the desktop. I have tried some solutions found on forums regarding similar issues, but nothing helped so far.
