I would love to see Heroes 4 on GOG some time soon. I actually have the entire series, but Heroes 4 doesn't work in Vista 64 due to some copy protection system causing the BSOD. So I would gladly pay for a version that would actually work in Vista 64.

We were lucky/unlucky with Heroes IV in the Czech Republic.
It is possible to buy Heroes IV including all the datadisks running without dvd (and without any copy protection) for less than 10 USD but it has czech dubbing which is not as good as the original one.
There are always some pros and some cons.

I'd like to see HoMM4 here too, but you know, those "HoMM4 sucks", "worst game of the whole series", "desecration", "<insert any other HoMM4 insult here>" comments of the majority (of Heroes players, that is) make me think that GOG team will pass, or at least give low to zero priority of getting this game.

I personally think that Heroes IV sucks (i.e. sucks compared to other Heroes, and that doesn't mean a bad game...) but hopefully GOG didn't stop at some personal opinions.
It would be surprising that they didn't release Heroes IV because of some bad mouth about it. By the way I would buy it nonetheless if released because :
- as said before there's a huge margin between the worse Heroes (imo) and a bad game,
- I want to give it a another chance... (despite its ugly face =)

Well... to be fair HOMM4 is nothing compared to the suckiness that is HOMM5.

Haven't played HOMM4 myself, but I'd buy it in a heartbeat on GOG, simply because it has the most gloriously beautiful music ever to grace a PC game.

Yes, the water theme is something beautiful, IMO the best one.

well, i love every single HoMM game, because each one brings something different. Of course, some gameplay changes in HoMM can be disliked, but i still think it's a great game.
In fact, i love every single Might&Magic game i've played, even Dark Messiah. Haven't tried Chronicles M&M 8, though...
