Does charm in this game makes you get less xp if you have it? Because you make enemy army lose some troops?

And is this like homm3 where the smaller your army the more xp you get if you defeat the enemy army?

I hope someone will remind me how this game works. Decided to replay it.

Yes, the troops that you charm or bribe won't be available in the fight and as such you'll "lose" their XP.

HoMM3 does not work that way. You get XP per every HP killed, regardless of the size of your army. HoMM4 is almost same, only each enemy you kill gives you a fixed amount of XP (different per enemy, but not dependent on HP like HoMM3). But in neither of the two games is the XP dependent on how small your army is.

Are you sure.. I was certain thats why you get more xp if you dont fight with big army vs small enemy army.
