I was wondering if anyone knew the configuration on the play random map mode in Homm3, so you can have a computer player as an ally?

I would like to play myself and 1 comp ally against 3 or 4 comps, but can't figure out what configuration to choose in advanced settings to make that happen. Anyone know?

I don't remember if you can do that in H3 Complete... I remember you can set up teams manually with the In the Wake of Gods mod.

You can do it in HOMM3 too.

In the setup for the random map, set the "human or computer players" option to the size you want your team, and for the "human or computer teams" option set it to 1. You'll be one of those players, the rest of your team will be filled with computer allies. ("Human or computer" player slots are always filled by a computer player if there aren't enough humans to fill them.) You can then do whatever you want with the "computer-only" players and teams, which will be your enemies.

So for instance, with the first option at 2, the second at 1, the third at 3, and the fourth at 1... you'd have yourself and one computer on one team, and three computers on another team.

So that's how it's done... I recalled being able to do so in the non-modded game as well, but I didn't remember how.
