I use to make my own maps for HOMM3 but have been lazy for the last few years. I'm now getting bored with the old maps and want to make some new ones, but something is either missing or I can't remember where it was.

There was a auto map generator in the map program that would allow you to set certain perameters and would create a map. It often took a few generations to find something to work with, but once I got something that looked good, I could rework the map to something interesting to play with. Now, I can't find the auto map function in the map builder.

Am I misstaken? Or is it a glitch with window 7 64bit? My daughter found a program that allowed me to play without the disc, I thought that might be the problem. With the new GOG sale, I bought my 5th copy of this game thinking I would still not have to insert the disc to play and would get the map feature back, but it's still not there.

Any ideas as to what`s going on here?

Thanks. That was not what I was looking for. That sets the game up to play a random map. I was looking for the random map generator in the Map Editor for the game so I can edit the map to make it more entertaining. I finally found it though and am happlily making my new maps:)
