As per instructions on the support page, me and my brother have set up the games: DOS version, launched through the multiplayer launcher, set up direct connect I tried hosting then he did, but we couldn't connect (we're on LAN, also we did use the correct IP I'm pretty sure).

Has anyone actually managed to make this work?

Alright, we made it work.

Find dosboxhomm2.conf in the game folder.

On the host machine: change serial1=dummy to serial1=nullmodem
On the client machine: change it to serial1=nullmodem server:000.000.000.000 where you enter the host's ip instead of the 0s.

Then just launch it the same way as the instructions tell you.

Edit: Wish I could mark this as solved, but it cannot be my own post for some reason. Since nobody else on the internet seems to have made this game run in mp yet (on the DOS version anyway), I hope this will help some people. Also, praise DOSBox.

Well, thanks for coming back and posting the solution. Nothing is more frustrating than "nevermind, solved it" without providing any information.

I'm sure someone will find it helpful.
