I've never actually played HOMM4 but I was wondering how you guys would compare it to the Hero's Chronicles: Conquest of the Underworld....better?!! Worse??

I just downloaded it so I'm super stoked to set it up!!

Some people love it, some hate it, so it is hard to say if you will like it more or no.

Aren't Heroes Chronicles just standalone campaigns for Heroes III? Well, then Heroes IV is radically different. Not in the sense of basic concepts or gameplay, but a lot of the mechanics are different and not always for the better. It was a pretty divisive game when it came out, and it still kind of is. I'm kind of in the middle. It has some good ideas, but there's also plenty that is wrong with it.

It would be great if GOG had the Chronicles games in their catalog.
