Hello!

I've got a buddy code from Ubishop for 50% rebate on HOMM VI - anyone interested? It's good for 5 uses, first come, first served ;)

Yes, i know it isn't gog, but it's HOMM nevertheless :)
It is a nice gesture but I'll pass. :)
I'd love to have one of those buddy passes for homm vi. Hopefully you still have a few :)

Thx!

I'm interested in 1 or possible 2 (for my brother in law) if you can spare them).

Thanks.

I am with you on this I think. Everything I have read or seen about this game tells me this is crap. Maybe next time they will make a true successor to Heroes III...*sigh*
I'd like a coupon. Planning on buying the game.

Go play the demo. I was the same as you, until I checked out the demo.

The general world is inferior to HOMM III(Resources are simplified yet are too scarce, some things can be very confusing, Citybuilding is a lot worse, etc), but the combat is a LOT better than HOMM III.

Heroes actually matter. Might heroes can actually survive against Magic heroes. Tactics are even MORE vital than in HOMM III(Less about who has the better army, more about who uses the army best). There are more stats, which can give you very useful information. Hovering over an attack shows how much enemies that MAY die(Remember luck is involved), and whether the enemy will retaliate or not. Morale is less OP and instead gives you half the movement of a full turn. Some spells have cooldowns. You regain mana during combat. You can make units attack walls. Luck, instead of showing a horseshoe, shows a cutscene of the unit doing a special attack. You can zoom in and out,a long with move the camera. There is a lot more variety to the spells. The units are very diverse, and have very different abilities. During combat you build up points to be used in a special ability(For example, Necropolis raises units from the dead, Haven makes one unit invulnerable.), which can be saved up to have stronger effects. You can see if a fight will be easy for you or difficult. And of course if all that fails, you can restart the fight if you win. The list goes on.

HOMM III's combat(Which was already awesome) pales in comparison. HOMM VI's combat is very dynamic, tactical, and fresh.

So try the demo on Steam and see if you like it.

If you still have one pass available, I'd be interested! ;)
I'll take a code if you still have one.
If you have a spare one can I grab it.
