I´m a fan of heroes and ufo saga, but I like more the game system of heroes, then recently I have a question came to my head. ¿Exist a game like Heroes, but with Space tematic? ¿Changing orcs, goblins, dwarfs, demons, etc.. for aliens? ¿Or maybe, with the same race but in the future, like in warhammer 20000?

Resuming the question, ¿Exists a game like heroes, or a mod for any heroes games with space/future tematic?

Thanks, and sorry if I have gramatical errors(sure I have), my native language isn´t english.

It's a little hard to think of a game which matches your description but the closest I can think of is Master of Orion but even with the similarities, it's still a very different (and far more complex) game.

The space battle sequences are similar to the HOMM games in that each side has it's own units (or warships in this case) on opposite sides of the "battlefield" and duke it out in turn based combat. One big difference though is the units you will be using will be different every game because you have to research technologies and design your own ships and the technology you discover in one game may not show up in your next game.

On the main map screen, you also have to improve your colonies (just like you need to improve your castles in HOMM) but it's done a lot differently. Colonies improve over time and is a lot more complex than a building a day in HOMM. You also move around the main map exploring new star systems, decide whether or not to colonize them and build them up.

The fundamentals are similar, you have bases, build armies and conquer your foes but the game play mechanics are very different and possibly overwhelming to a newcomer to the series. I first played Master of Orion only a few months ago and it took me a few days to learn but afterwards, it was easily one of the most mind blowing games I ever played.

Regardless, I would give it a look. I never regretted it :)

Thanks for the reply.
But I see master of orion is more like civilization than heroes. Good and interesting game, and after playing civilization games, I dont see the game too complicated. But not is what I´m searching for.

Thanks again for take the time to reply, and sorry if I have gramatical errors :P

Actually, there is a game that tried to do probably exactly what you are looking for. Its pretty terrible but its a Heroes of Might and Magic clone set in space with spaceships instead of monster et all that you control. It is called Spaceforce Captains and here is a link with screenshots http://www.gamespot.com/spaceforce-captains/ . Check it out, the screenshots might look like its different a bit than Heroes of Might and Magic but its an attempted, direct clone. I actually had some fun with this game but the reviews are horrible. There are some pretty horrific bugs but you might want to give it a shot since this is in the vein of what you are looking for.
