Okey I know you all will calll me noob, cunt idiot, retard and so on but I need to ask why is like every one I ask think Heores 3 is the best of them all ? I been trying to do the campaign now several years laters but bloody f-ing hell the mission from day to night is a bitch even with a guide I can´t finish it to be honest im starting to hate Heroes 3 and I wanna say Heroes 5,6,7 is far far better games at least even the hard missions is not so damn unbalanced.

I mean from day to night is shit first of Haven vs Undead then it seams after 4 weeks they have 20 heroes with 100 to 200 off pikemen, archers and girffons and then it seams like all enemy heroes start with expert pathfinding and expert logistic while I have to restart the senario 20 times before 1 of my heroes finaly get basic logistic or basic pathfinding after 10-12 levels. Then the undergound patch shit to move to any castle like nothing to be honestt who ever made this mission fuck you.

So finaly after 3 days about 7h a day retrying I finaly beat this shit map I rushed so hard it hurt my head but after restarting maybe 30 times im finaly done.

But yeah I hate Heroes 3 to be honest 2 will forever be my favorite.

Been a long time since I've played the mission, and I don't remember anything about it.

I seem to recall that the campaigns generally allowed you to carry over some of your heroes; did you take the time on previous missions to send your heroes around to visit the available sites on each map?

By 4 weeks in, you should probably have already started crushing them. Are you aggressively taking control of enemy lands before they have a chance to build up? One walkthrough I found indicates that the AI starts with 5 towns to your 3; you can't just sit back until your cities are fully upgraded or you'll be overrun.
Sadly in this campaign my heroes was at level 1 even if previus was level 8-10. Yeah I did finaly beat it after 3 days of endless trying bleh had to rush so hard with my 3 ghost dragon I took over 4 towns in like 1 and a half month but that leaving all citys empty but funny enugh they did not attack.

But yeah I hate this game allot.

This might not be a hero-carry-over campaign, then.

Broadly speaking, pushing out as soon as you can is the strategy to go with.

Any of your towns that aren't under threat of attack don't need defenders. Such defenders are only being actively useful if the town is attacked. Pull your forces together into as big of a concentration of force as you can (with consideration for morale and move speed) and send that army out to conquer.

I like the coherency in the game and mechanics. It is a massive improvement on H1, and I think an improvement on H2 (though some people prefer H2 to H3). H4 was radically different in numerous ways, making them harder to directly compare. H5 was okay, with some neat features, but it relied too much on 3D gimmicks for my taste.
