Hello guys. I'm interrested in buying this game, just want to make sure that its possible to run it on windows 10?
I tried to instal few pirated things and it didnt work. Either asked for some .dll files (which i added and nothing) either didnt start at all. I'm not too much into IT and stuff. Just thinking if release from your site will work... Really want to raise some skeletons!
The game has no reported issues with Windows 10. As for the DLL requirements, you either didn't run the game as administrator, which might have stopped it from accessing them, or you didn't download them individually and put them in the Heroes III directory.

but if I get game from here, everything will be included and I just have to run? Stuff like cracking, downloading additional stuff and so on? :)
I mean i just want to instal and play.
Only issue i have on win 10 is the sound crackling on windows 10 realtek audio codec, but this doesn't happen always so i have no idea what is up with that, haven't tried the most up to date drivers that are on tenforums, the codec was updated 2 months ago.
Also there is some universal patch you can use here that is also in the library but i don't know what the patch did.

Yes, since Windows 10 is mentioned under supported OSs for the game, you should be able to immediately install and play. If not, you're covered by the 30 days money back guarantee.

I see you don't grasp the concept of the cracks fully - they're there to bypass the copy protection and/or CD checks. Games released on GOG aren't distributed on CDs/DVDs so they don't need them. They're also relieved of all forms of DRM, which is what GOG is best known for. So yes, installing and playing is the procedure. Though installing the HD mod is also a recommendation.
I have an original Collector's Edition Heroes of might and Magic III Complete by New world computing/3DO, not that abomination published by Ubisoft. While I haven't purchased this from Gog.com is there a software solution offered or some way I can trick my Win 10, 1080x1920 res to run it? I have tried compatibility modes, and I can't seem to get it to run what ever the case.
The solution is the HD mod, link in the post just above yours.
Solved the problem.
I recently downloaded Intel HD graphics control panel. In order for the game to work I had to go to

3D settings - Conservative morphological antialiasing (turned it off). worked
help me! i have windows 10 and i downloaded the game from GOG and i cant get it work, it says that a problem stopped it from workning? i have tried with the 3D setting and the anti aliasing off but nothing happend, i have wondows 10, what should i do? the computer is very new to, is there som settings i need to download first?

Did you install directx 9.0c?
People sometimes forget that this version needs to be also installed to make games work since it covers all the older directx.
Otherwise more info if that isn't the problem like CPU,GPU,RAM.
Also info of error, though i really can't help much here.Probably other could help if the dorectx isn't the solution.
Also keep all thing up to date drivers and maybe even windows.

Hi guys,
first post in the forum. i recently bought HOMM3 in GoG. My favorite part of the game is to create maps. I tried to start right away but...

when I scroll over an artifact for example it does not tell me the modifiers of it and the help tool does not work at all.

It gives me a message of "Failed to launch Help" and takes me to a windows page to download WinHelp file but is only compatible with win 8 or earlier.
do you guys have a solution for this or a work arround?

thanks in advance.

Yes, the old hlp files can't be opened on newer OSs. Did you try this?

That's right; more specifically, since the original download links from Microsoft seems to be not good anymore, the one available here do the trick in Windows 10... tested on my machine with no issues
