Hey everybody.

Me and my roommate both purchased a copy of Heroes of Might & Magic 2, is it possible for us to play against each other through our wireless connection? and if so how?

Thanks In advance!
It hardly depends on which version of the game you're using. It is impossible to use multiplayer features in GoG release of HoMM 2 because it is a DOS version emulated via DOSbox. But if you're using real retail CD version of the game then you're lucky. Read this topic for details: http://www.celestialheavens.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=13250

Multiplayer might work if you use Dosbox's integrated IPX support, but only if Heroes 2 DOS supports it. Otherwise you will need the windows version of the original, or H2Gold

IPX/SPX and TCP/IP are not supported in DOS version. You should use a Windows game release (HoMM II: The Price of Loyalty or HoMM II: Gold original CD versions are fine).

You can, by setting the IPX value in the dosbox.conf file to true. More details here:http://www.dedoimedo.com/games/reviving/dosbox_multiplayer.html
This topic isn't relevant anymore because currently GoG also have Windows game version which works fine with TCP/IP and IPX/SPX protocols.
I think it is possible too to play through wireless connection with the DOS version if you use the free heroes 2 engine (http://sourceforge.net/p/fheroes2/), but I'm not sure.
Download HOMM 2 win extra version from gog, then download gameranger
As for today you can play multiplayer game on DOS Zone in browser without installing Homm2.
Looks little a bit cumbersome, but at the end it works.
