After applying the "universal" patch, in-game the version shows as v1.0.0.7878. Is this the most recent version?

I dont know what version it is. I just know the game is unplayable because there are no potions in it, I would say the version is still in alpha judging by how completed it is.

The Steam version has a small patch that was released a couple of weeks later, bringing it to 1.0.0.8005.
From what I understand there are further updates ready to go on both platforms but the developer can't release them until BitComposer's insolvency proceedings are finished. (BitComposer is the publisher; Games Farm is the developer.)
DeathKnight: Potions are fairly rare as loot, although healing herbs are a bit more common. They can be crafted though.
