No, it will be updated sooner or later as they resolved their problems with bitComposer being bankrupt what stopped Games Farm working on the game earlier. Especially with GOG version we need some patience here.

According to the latest posts on the Steam forum, there should be an announcement coming out on the 26th, time zone differences notwithstanding.
My understanding - though this might not be accurate - is that there should be an update to the existing version of the game coming out around then, followed by a revamp of the entirety of Book 1 using a new version of the engine a couple of months from now, and Book 2 to follow some time after that.
