Get really big blocky screen artifacts that run across the screen as soon as the title page comes up and continues into the actual gameplay, much like someone mentioned in a previous post. I am running Windows 8 and have a Nvidia 770 card with latest drivers. I have tried running it in windowed mode but that actually made the artifacts display faster.

I've attached a screenshot, the artifacts run quite rapidly across the screen.

Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

I got the same issue on a window 7-64bit Laptop with Intel HD4000 graphic card. I tried all screen resolutions, windowed and full-screen no difference, always the same distortions/artifacts.

Are you using beta drivers or WHQL certified ones?

Have you tried rolling back your drivers, if possible?
I am using 331.82 WHQL certified drivers.
Solved my own problem. My laptop has both a GTX770M and an integrated Intel HD video card. I have the system set to default to 770 as the default card used. This particular title had to be manually added and told to use the 770. Once I launched with 770 it runs fine. It appears that this game has issues with Intel integrated cards.

Thanks for the hint, rolling back to Intel driver version 8.15.10.2761 helped. Now I can play the game in 1024x768 and 1280x1024 no artifacts. But trying to run the game at 1600x1200 results in a APPCRASH for the kult.exe.

1280x1024 is fine with me. Thank you.
Sorry for the thread necro, but I have the exact same issue. Running Windows 8.1 on a laptop, with 2014 era Nvidia graphic card in an Optimus configuration.

I don't really think it's wise to roll back graphic drivers to pre-2010 days... but I have tried all the compatibility mode options with no positive results. Ditto for windowed mode and various resolution combinations.

I also tried manually adding it to the NVidia control panel, to force it to run using the Nvidia card and not the integrated... no change.
