I have a "little" Problem wit the Start of "Hexen-Deathkings of the Dark Citadel"...

The first Games (Heretic&Hexen) open the DosBox where i can configure the Settings. Deathkings of the Dark Citadel starts directly without DosBox Settings (Options per Number 1 (Start), 2 (Settings), 3 (Quit).

The controls are horrible and i need the settings! -.-"

Where can i find the Settings to configure the Controls?

Run the setup.exe into hexendk through any dosbox installation. The easiest way is click and drag the setup.exe file over the dosbox.exe file.

or you can copy and modify the hexen "dosbox_hexen_single.conf" to use it into the hexendk intallation. you should rename the file itself and edit it to point to the correct executable.

Or, if you have regular Hexen configured as you want just copy the HEXEN.CFG file from there into the HexenDK folder.

Here is a fixed dosbox_hexenDK_single.conf with setup menu. If someone else needs it.

P. S. Note that selecting 'Save parameters and launch Hexen' in the setup program will bring you back to the launcher menu. That's intentional because otherwise setup program will run the game without an addon. Just select '1) HeXen: DeathkIng of the Dark Citadel' an have fun.

Thanks for the tips! Yes that sind with the "setup.exe" and "hexendk" have i try. If i launch HexenDK from the Setup then start the normal Hexen (Beyond Heretic). That is strange... Both Games are in separate Files on my Drive.

By the way it's strange why gog this way not included in Hexen DK. Heretic and Hexen works fine. Only in HexenDK is not that setup-thing included.

1) Go to https://www.chocolate-doom.org/wiki/index.php/Downloads and download Chocolate Hexen

2) Extract Chocolate Hexen to the folder of your choice.

3) Place hexen.wad and hexdd.wad in the same folder as the chocolate-hexen executable.

4) Create a shortcut to the chocolate-hexen executable that adds -file hexdd.wad to the end of the command.

5) Click on your new shortcut to start Deathkings.

Settings are located in chocolate-hexen-setup.exe.
