Hexen 2 is one of favourite games of my childhood, with countless hours of playing under my belt throughout the years.
I was really glad to purchase the Heretic Hexen collection at GOG and immediately started to play.
However, by the time I reached the second realm I have encountered a really annoying and (as it turned out to be later) gamecrushing bug, which prevented me from keeping on saving the world from the last of the Serpent Riders.
For some unknown reason my character lost his ability to move backwards (which is annoying but not critical) and some in-level teleports stopped working, making it impossible to finish the level. To my huge disappointment I also realized that the bug had corrupted the save file and reloading didn't help with the problem at all. And, I guess it's needless to say that I used only one save file throughout the game (stupid of me, but I really couldn't expect such a blow).
I mean, it's not really a problem to start it from the very beginning, but I don't really know what causes that bug and whether it won't happen again. So it really makes the whole experience not as enjoyable as I expected.
The thing is, as I said, I played hours upon hours in this game when I was a teen and I'd never met this bug before.
Maybe someone has already faced such a problem and knows a right solution?
