Hello everyone.

Since the DLC update I came across an irritant bug regarding the messages left by other players. Every time I examine one of the yellow hands, the menu on the bottom left disappears and every button on the controller stops working except for the two sticks. I can only walk and rotate the camera. No attack, no jump, no pause, no run, nothing at all. Disconnecting the controller doesn't seem to work, neither the keyboard seems to responding. The only option that I have left at that point is to Alt+F4 the game, since I also can't interact with the breaches.

Any idea on how can I solve it?

I'm facing the same issue.

Until the dev gets round to fixing/patching this, the only thing you can do is turn off all online messages. I had to do this because otherwise I accidentally activate a hand and lock myself out.

Another annoying bug is sometimes you get 'stuck' in the same way after a dodge as an enemy is attacking (I know, I know). That is thankfully much more rare, but still irritating.

I had the same problem before (and also after) the DLC. Im playing on PC. When I try to check the hand marks I lost the control of the mouse. I cant pan the camera, also Esc does not work so I have to Alt+F4 out from the game after checking a mark. Also I dont see the message.

Same, Hellpoint is the first game I bought on Gog, hi I am new, and I am having this bug. Sorry, I just suicide off a hole and it usually fixes it. I'll try turning off multiplayer messages.

Ok back from playing the game for hours. I turned off multiplayer messages but they still appear in the game... not sure what that did, if anything. The yellow hand prints on the walls still offers to let me read them. Even with it off.

I also get desynced a lot, even over a LAN with the host, it seems to connect over the internet. That's getting off topic though.

But it was like really easy to get lost in this big game's world from each other. I would host and he would host for a bit today. There is lots of things only the host can activate.

Some things I did not like seeing in a multiplayer game:
The enemies would be really erratic over which of us to attack, and lag behind, sometimes I am hitting the enemy and no damage is happening. Again, we both have high speed internet and LAN over online lol... Does the enemies seem like they have no Persistence to which target they are going after?

Then I dropped down into an area and got lost from my host partner. I walked through a door into a small room, where there were 4 undead zombies on the ceiling into a trap room. The door behind you closes, and only 3 of the zombies jumped down to fight me. After I killed the three, the fourth zombie stayed up there and the door remained closed. I got out my daemon cannon and managed to pull him down after trying a couple of minutes of jumping/shooting. The door remained closed even after the last enemy was killed. So I guess that the door can only be opened by the host... And there is no teleport to host button. So I had to disconnect and rematch...

Is anyone else getting kinda disappointed by the multiplayer experience?

I like the game and the multiplayer, I had fun and good moments. I just wanted to share.

Played the game again today and noticed that the online messages were finally removed in my game. I think it either resolved itself or it just needed rebooted.

Ran into more desynch issues in multiplayer though. :/

Basically what happens is when you get to the radiation in the space vaccuum areas, it’s like the radiation is cancer to the internet and causes everyone to lag behind that is connected to the host.

On our livestream over the LAN, he can see what I am doing in real-time, but over the internet (the only way to play) the radiation damage causes his game to have to wait 5-10 seconds behind for the pressurization chambers to open the doors and I will be literally doing things way behind on his screen that I did long time ago. ;)

This desync is a really important bug too because during the Transporter boss fight (he is a big beast with claw hands and a long tongue and tail), on the Arcology Underworld space vaccuum stuff, it makes it so that my friend can pull the boss off my during the fight but it becomes lagged, which can cause advantages and disadvantages which can make the fight either way easier than it was supposed to be, or harder.

I just had the same problem. Very annoying. I'll try to remove the yellow hand messages.

Otherwise the game is a pretty good Souls-like.

Rare you say hahahahahaha, that happens a lot here, good thing the ESC quit at least works.

Just walk away...
You don't need to turn yellow messages off. Even if you don't read them, they are a great hint to secret doors and off-trail paths. And you can still read them. If you walk away from a message you're reading, it goes away and you're good to go. But don't press the prompt it tells you !
Even knowing that, I sometime mistakenly do it and shamefully walk like I did a big mistake in my pants.

You can also kill yourself by going to an enemy or by a deep fall. That should respawn you at the last breach you touched and restore your controls.

Hope devs will will pay attention and fix it. Because game itself is brilliant.

I started playing a few days ago. This bug is still happening. Sucks as the messages can be useful in finding the numerous secret doors and hidden areas.
