I died a lot on this one. Damn ball of fire! I guess I don't work well under pressure.
However, I noticed something strange. As time went on and had to replay the last section (find the three runes in the maze-like house to open the door), the environment got darker and darker, to the point that even after setting gamma to the highest, I could barely see anything (just what was immediately in front of me).
At some point the screen became pitch black and, after ~30 seconds of silence, I was sent back to the beginning of the level (before entering the swamp). Reloading took me back to the rune door, fortunately, but still quite dark.
After several tries I ended up memorizing the path I had to take, and there's the light that guides you to the runes, so I managed to finish the trial. But I'm still wondering why it got so dark (I could see less than in the blindness trial!). Is there supposed to be a day/nigjt cycle that affects lighting if it takes you too long to finish the trial? Was it a penalization, akin to the dark rot (which BTW has climbed dangerously high up Senua's arm)? Maybe just a weird glitch?
Did anyone else experiment this issue?
