Just in case any other linux user is wondering; The game runs hassle-free with Lutris. If you do not use Lutris, it also runs with the development branch of wine after applying the mf-install fix for the cut-scenes (due to the familiar licensing issue of mfplat videos).

1. Install the game through wine - development branch
I used minigalaxy, which simply installs/runs the game in wine. Use the development branch to get version 6.19 or higher. The stable branch (6.0.2) will result in a unity crash (https://wiki.winehq.org/Ubuntu).

2. Copy mf-install master branch to your system and run the install command
https://github.com/z0z0z/mf-install - This simply adds the required .dll files to the wine prefix of the game to decode the videos.

3. Run the game with wine
Thanks for the info. Still sad that there are still so few native versions.
