I was wondering if I will need to keep multiple savegames. I know it's possible to die, but is it possible to get stuck by losing some item or getting the wrong dialog choice earlier or something else?

As a personal practice, I keep multiple saves. There are some dialog choices that could land you in awkward situations. Like death, specifically.

It's rather impossible if you don't cheat items (weapons to be precise) into your inventory :)

Yes, use different save game files. This game has "dead man walking".
