Hi,
Been playing around with Harrier Jump Jet and it seems like a bit of a less than optimal release.. It's still on v2.16 when the latest version is v2.41.
My suggestions to the publisher would be to:
Obtain the 3 x floppy disk images (they can be found, normally v2.16)
Grab the v2.40 patch
Grab the v2.41 patch
Once fully installed (I'd do a full install to include the intro movie, currently missing) and patched throttle and rudder support will be added as well as enhancements to the sim. I would suggest basing the release on this install.
In addition with a bit of hunting around the manual can be found in pdf format, I'd suggest bundling it in, as it really is necessary to play the sim.
The current gog release has a frontend.exe file that (partially) disables the copy protection and this frontend.exe seems to be (mostly) compatible with v2.41. So far I've only found that it breaks the 'quit to dos Y/N' screen, you can still exit by hitting Y but the screen is blank.
Even with the copy protection enabled with the manual would be ok as it's not the worst manual based protection I've come across given that it gives you the first letter of the word you need (a cheat sheet would be nicer).
And finally maybe a gogmenu to run the game (harrier.bat with intro movie, small.bat without intro movie) and the installer (to change hardware options)?
