The graphics requirements say "DirectX 11" which implies that it might function under Win7 or 8.1, but the system requirement says Win10.

Has anyone bought this game and tried it under Win7 or 8.1 - and if so, does it work?

Asking because while I could try running it under Linux using Wine, there's no guarantee of it working. Windows is my fallback option and I won't go anywhere past 8.1. And I'm not going to spend money on something that might not even run.

I'm playing it on Linux with Wine, it works perfectly, not a single hiccup. Hope this makes the decision easier. :) Awesome game!
