On Steam the regular edition preorder is $15.99 (20% off $19.99) and the collector's edition preorder is $19.99 (20% off $24.99).

Here on GOG it shows 20% off the regular edition on the "upcoming" tab of the main page, yet you can't buy it, and where the buy button would be it says "Hard West Collector's Edition is now available for the price of the standard edition to everyone who preorders the game." All we can buy is the ce for $15.99, which is 36% off the "regular" price of $24.99.

It seems a little unusual for GOG to have nearly double the discount on a preorder than Steam has. Has there been some mistake?

As I had already pre-ordered the Collector's Edition, and thus am unable to be upgraded further, I guess I would have rather had a further cash discount rather than a discount on their other games, which I am unsure if I'll be buying.

However, I am not complaining, as I really do appreciate the gesture. It is a helluva lot better than most stores will give you for a simple delay, so I am thankful.

You can ask for a refund to GoG support, they rebuy the game with the -33% discount.

Not as of just today, I guess. They just revoked the upgrade. Maybe too many folk were refunding on the CE and re-ordering the regular to automatically get the CE. What a mess.

Anyway, I don't really care that much. To me, I'll just treat this as just another delay, like any other. No big deal. I'm letting my pre-order stand. The devs need to worry about getting the game finished, not about stuff like this right now.
