Hello fellow Debian users, Ubuntu lovers and Mint freaks!

Here you’ll find scripts allowing you to build .deb packages from your MojoSetup (.sh) installer for Hammerwatch. You can install them through DPKG and remove them through any APT front-end (apt-get, aptitude, synaptic, etc.).

I hope you’ll enjoy the ease-of-use provided by these scripts as much as I enjoy writing and tweaking them ;)

Mint (17.3) freak here.

Hammerwatch runs just fine for me. Even plays nice with my Logitech F310 USB gamepad. Been enjoying Hammerwatch since my final days as a Windows (7 64 bit) user.

As far as installing games with the .sh file:
Right-click the .sh file.
Select Properties.
Select Permissions.
Check the box next to "Allow executing file as Program".

Done. From there, you can simply double click the .sh file to install the game.

Also works with the .sh installers for alotta Humble Store's DRM-free games. It's how I installed a bunch of the Neo-Geo 25th Anniversary games and Torchlight II.

Right, most MojoSetup installers (used for all GOG Linux games and a lot of Humble ones) installation is really easy that way.
For these games ./play.it scripts are mostly a way to get them a better integration with your system, including a system-wide installation and the ability to uninstall them with your usual package manager.

All supported by ./play.it too ;-)
