I build mining bases, send them out to mine an asteroid and then it gets depleted and I can't figure out how to get the base to move to a different asteroid once that happens. I can't find anything about in the manual, either, and it's making me feel frustrated/dumb.

I don't think you can do that.

I usually scrape the miner on the depleted asteroid and build a new one to deploy on a minerable asteroid.

EDIT: Just to confirm that once a miner has been deployed you can't move it anymore. Scrape it and build a new one.

In the expansion you can re-deploy mining bases, but in the original campaign you cannot, as Namur said. In The Solon Heritage, simply right-click on another asteroid to re-deploy once the first asteroid is depleted.

Oh, that's great =D Didn't know that ( but I only played Legions of Iron ). Downloading the game now too ;P
