Hello,
look, I expect to be a second class citizen when exclusively shopping on GOG by now - but I hate Steam with a fiery passion (after clashing with their 'support' two times, finally deleting my account) and usually don't mind getting games a little later here than the steam release.
What I DO MIND is the shop page for Gylt saying the release date is 6.7.2023 - until after 8 o'clock (German local time) ON 6.7.2023. I had checked in repeatedly in the morning until I had to leave for work - expecting to be able to finally buy and play the game when I return home in the afternoon. After all, it had said release is 6.7.2023 when I had left in the morning of 6.7.2023.
BUT: when I returned home on the _fomer_ GOG-release-date, suddenly the shop page did not mention the release date at all anymore. Right now it's late afternoon of 7.7.2023
I did check. And of course the game was available on Steam the morning of 6.7.2023. Again: I don't mind getting it a little late here on GOG, but please do not lie about its GOG-release-date!!!
Again: I do not mind getting games a little later on here. I expect that by now - although I don't like it. But just deleting the release date ON THAT RELEASE DATE - without any comment on the shop page about the reason - is more than annoying. I wanted to buy and play Gylt yesterday - when it was said to be released. Until yesterday afternoon at least.
By now I've read some not-so-amazed - though still more or less positive - reviews. I don't know if I'll buy this on GOG-release now, whenever that may be...
