After setting up and clicking on Play, I get this error message:

DirecX@initialize error.
Please confirm setting.

And the game doesn't start.

I'm using Windows 10 64-bit
CPU: i5-4460
RAM 8 GB
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX960

I just payed for this game and I really want it to work.

I played with it a bit and apparently, turning off MSAA and Texture Filtering makes the game work.

I haven't seen the game except for the menu. So, let's see how it goes.

I had a similar problem, but I found that sticking to a resolution of either 800x600 or 1280x720 seems to solve it.

With the newest patch here i don't even see the menu it just crashes, i could play the unpatched game,but i already have a thread posted in gurumin forum that is unsolved since unpatched it crashes again when i complete the game ending credits roll and when the logo was supposed to show up it just crashes.
Did Falcom leave us with not fully patching the game?

I realize this is a very old post, but I got the same error and was able to narrow the fix down a bit more.

If MSAA is set to 4x, the game crashes with this error for me. 2x or 8x both work fine.
