Good day!

Before diving in to the wonderful world of Guilty Gear, I wanted to know what kind of controllers are supported for the game. I have standard Logitech controllers, as well as an XBox360 controller. I was hoping that it would support both.

Much thanks!

The 360 controller is definitely supported, but I can't get it to map the triggers yet. Seems like the games external config software auto detects the controllers so most controllers should work. The game seems to be mapping the controls from the PS2 version onto the keyboard or controller.

X360 wireless works, but the keymapping is bit weird. ( R3 = start ) to get triggers work in external config, select the Z-axis

I guess pretty much any controller can be setup to work with the game. As stated above the game seems to have issues with trigger buttons.

I recommend a PlayStation-like controller (or an arcade-stick of course)

Yep, got the trigger buttons in X360 wireless to work. In external config select Z-axis. You can pretty much set every button by pressing button on your controller in the external config. L2 is atleast 1ZMAX and R2 1ZMIN on my computer. (and for player 2 it's 2ZMAx and 2ZMIN respectfully)

Well, I'm using a modded PS2 controller with a usb adapter, and that's working just fine. Really, any controller will work with anything if you give it a little effort, but no, this game doesn't try to push you to use a X360 controller, there's a proper config tool.

The tool actually has you map out keys to match a PS2 controller, in fact, with "Cross", "Circle", "L2", "R1", and all that stuff listed out. Obviously I had no problem with that. :P

You map out these emulated settings, and then in game, you set up your controls as if you were playing on a PS2, assigning controls to X, O, [ ], and /\ buttons that you mapped out in the config tool. It's just like the setup for Street Fighter IV where you mapped out X360 buttons.
I'm using a 360 controller just fine. You can remap the Start/Select keys and get the Triggers working by running config.exe in the game directory and messing around with the options there. (enable ZAxis) and also remap the 360 face keys to the equivalent Play Station keys.
I'm using a Logitech controller and all the buttons on it work in the game.

I just got my Street Fighter Tournament Edition stick working with this very utility. Once you launch the utility, just look at the top tabs to switch to Joystick. From there just use the drop downs and then tap the joystick / buttons to set them and you're golden.

Also, in the main config, make sure you enable the 44k audio files. Much better!

Awesome game, very good port!
Using a Saturn USB pad and it's working perfectly aside from the Start button acting as "Select" in-game. Have to press Space on my keyboard to pause the game/reach the menu.
I'm using the Mad Catz Streetfighter IV controller for the 360. Better D-Pad than the standard 360 controller (one of the worst D-Pad's around yet one of the best analogue pads as well). Just needed to make sure that the switch on the bottom was set to LS and not the middle option like I usually use. Oh an the B button was the start button.

It does support the triggers - you need to tick the ZAxis box in the Advanced Settings group. The L2 should be mapped to "1ZMAX" and R2 to "1ZMIN", as that's just how the X360 Controller for Windows rolls.
I'm using a really old Logitech Wingman wireless controller and it works just fine with no hassle.
Works perfectly with my PS2 controller with the USB adapter.

I have a VAKOSS 10 button USB joypad I bought from Fry's electronics and it works perfectly with no button configuration neccesary.
