Howdy!

I have a minor problem getting Guilty Gear to recognize the triggers on my Xbox 360 controller as the L2/R2 buttons in the game. I've tried going into config.exe and mapping L2/R2 to ZMAX/MIN, seeing as how most other games recognize the triggers as the Z-axis, including Guilty Gear Isuka.

Is this normal? Has anyone managed to get the mapping right? Or will I have to "scotch tape" the L2/R2 buttons through the keyboard mapping and Joy2Key?

Activate your controller before opening the config and make sure you've checked ZAxis under Joystick Settings/Advanced Settings. I've also checked Roll but I don't know what it's for, probably you need to check that too.
Thanks didnt know about Z Axis for the back buttons, Roll activates the directional input for the Right Analog Stick, the second circle stick.
Ran Config.exe as Admin from the install directory and mapped the Official XBOX 360 PC Gamepad (Microsoft Certified)

Here's what it looks like all mapped out:

Check Roll and ZAxis.

Up: 1UP (Do not use 1POV Directions as they disable the two analog sticks.)
Down: 1DOWN
Left: 1LEFT
Right: 1RIGHT
Circle: 1BUTTON2
Cross: 1BUTTON1
Triangle: 1BUTTON4
Square: 1BUTTON3

L1: 1BUTTON5
L2: 1BUTTON9 (? I think, Config.exe didn't respond to my L2 trigger when I tried to map it.)
R1: 1BUTTON6
R2: 1BUTTON10 (? Same with the R2 trigger.)

Up, Down, Left, Right Analog all not used.

SELECT: 1BUTTON7
START: 1BUTTON8

L2 and R2 might be 10 and 9 or 9 and 10, I don't really know, but I suspect they are 1BUTTON9 and 1BUTTON10 in that order from the drop down menu since they wouldn't respond in Config.exe and 7 and 8 were already mapped with the select/start buttons when I pressed them on the controller.

Edit:

L2 and R2 still not working in-game.

I managed to get L2 and R2 to work by using the above config and then mapping them to the L3 R3 (Left Stick Button, Right Stick Button) in Better DS3, since I am using a Dualshock 3 to emulate the 360 pad.
