Game works great but I noticed the keys are all mixed up

X = X
Square = Circle
Circle = Traingle
Triangle = Square
and the L1, L2 are swapped for R1, R2

/i know its numbers like 1, 2, 3, 4 etc but i like to use the PlayStation anology/

Is there a way to correct this. Because it makes it hard to learn combos

you can change the x, square, triangle and circle around under options ingame, tough imo that menu is really confusing.

The better way is to use config.exe which allows you to remap all the keys, though the button names are still rather confusing ( cross set to 1button2 don't tell you a lot).

Also, why does this makes it hard to learn combos? The buttons are shown as P, K, S and HS (punch, kick, special?, hard special?) in the ingame combo list not cross, square, circle and triangle.

You can find out the button numbers in Windows' Control Panel itself. The following assumes you have the controller already connected. ;)

Just go to Start > Control Panel (XP, Vista and 7).

Then select Devices and Printers (Vista and 7) or Game Controllers (XP).

In XP, you'll see a box with a list of controllers connected to your comp. Select the one you wish to use with GG then click Properties at the bottom. In Vista and 7, you'll need to right-click the controller in Devices and Printers then select Game Controller Settings to bring this box up first.

In the new box that appears after clicking Properties, go to the Test tab where you'll find, at the bottom, a row of numbered dark-red circles. Press each button on your pad and its number will light up until you release it, so if you pressed one of the face buttons and "1" lit up, there's button 1.

It'll be worth keeping this box open while you fiddle with the GG config. :)
