I while ago I mailed Funbox Media asking about any possibility to release more Guilty Gear games on GOG and Steam. Yesterday, this is the response I got:

It's great to hear they're even considering to release them on Steam. These games are awesome and need more exposure. I hope we get a release date soon!

Honestly, Isuka it's not a very good game. I prefer the first Guity Gear X.

I'd buy it. Even nearly everbody says that's really bad and also it seems bad; i'm really curious about Isuka.

It's not bad, it's just one of GG odd titles. People get upset at it because they get good at it's bread and butter titles and these awkward titles throw them off. if someone never played GG in their life, I'd have a hard time recommending GGXX Slash or even AC over Isuka simply because it's impossible to know what someone is going to really enjoy in a fighting game.

There seems to be a certain degree of elitism in gaming. It's particularly strong in PC gaming, but pervasive in all gaming, that says sequels have to do everything the prequel did, but better. it's the mentality that says DEIW is a bad game, that BF sucked when it lost airplanes, and that says GG isuka is toxic. All in all, they're all complaints over the same thing: the creators/publishers of the game wanted to bring different people to the franchise, and to that end they reshaped the gameplay.

This wouldn't upset anyone if people weren't myopic about games. That is, if people didn't demand every GG be GG AC and get upset when their "one and only" changes gameplay. My feelings didn't get hurt over Isuka because hey, if I don't like it, I'll play 3S maybe. or I'll just keep playing Reload.
