I really appreciated this post, I found it to be quite informative. Still, it's a matter of opinion. I agree with pretty much everything that was said, but the thing is that Guacamelee!, like so many other games, has a specific charm that may or may not resonate with the gamer in question.

My best advice would be to find a way to try the game before buying it, to really check if it is your cup of tea. Chances are if you need a game to have achievements or Steam-related unlockables, GOG's version of Guacamelee! is definitely not for you. Also, if you don't enjoy metroidvania-style games, there's a great chance you won't like this one.

But do know that what it does good, it nails. Fluid, great gameplay, an amazing sense of humour -- even though the memes and references *can* get a bit too much, for some people --, a very quirky and unique art style and some challenging -- without getting frustratingly hard -- plarforming, fighting and puzzles.
Hi,

of course, you are right. My intention is to post some information on the games I played in a non-judgemental way. So the interested reader can say, "Oh, there´s a lot of stuff to unlock. I´ll buy it."
By the way, I love this game. I would give six stars, if I could.
