I bought this game recently on GOG but I've been having problems getting my controller to work with it. I noticed there was a workaround for the version on Steam but I did not know that this could used for GOG, so for the people out there like me, here is a possible workaround (assuming you have or will get a steam account).

1) Install the Steam client, launch it and login with your existing account (or create one if you haven't)
2) In the top-left hand menu bar, click Games > Add a Non-Steam Game to My Library...
3) Select GRIS and click Add Selected Programs
4) On the menu bar, click View > Big Picture Mode
4a) If you haven't done so already, go set up your controller in Steam by clicking the settings icon (the cog)
5) Go to your Library where you should be able to find and select GRIS
6) There are two options: Your Shortcut and Manage Shortcut. Choose Manage Shortcut.
7) Click Contoller Options.
8) For the drop down menu "Steam Input Per-Game Setting", choose Forced On, then click OK
9) Start GRIS

Hope this helps someone out there!

thank you so much!

Also you can still have galaxy track your stats if you press "play" on the game in the GOG Galaxy application
