I was hoping there would be a way to buy the soundtrack as DLC on the game page on release day but I can't see a way to buy it, even on other stores. Any news in that regard?

There are some rights issues with releasing the soundtrack, and Doublefine is trying to work through them. We'll just have to wait for good news, I'm afraid.
