I'm trying to play it with out a walkthrough, so can anyone tell me if this was supposed to happen? I can't interact with anything but I can hear Manny walking around. Can't see him though. This doesn't seem right.

I'm in the forest with the hydraulic tree thing, not sure what happened but now it's dark and I've only got an aerial view.
